§ 94-102. Installation deemed local improvement; payment of installation costs.
(a)
One hundred percent of the total cost of boulevard and ornamental street lighting installations, whether within the business or residential districts of the city, shall be deemed local improvements, within the meanings and terms of article 10 of the city charter relative to local improvements and assessments.
(b)
When deemed necessary to fund boulevard and ornamental street lighting installations, in whole or in part, the city commission may elect to special assess the lots and premises specially benefitted thereby proportionally according to the benefits derived therefrom.
