§ 84-11. Purpose.

The purpose of this ordinance is to protect the public safety, health and welfare and to prevent or abate repeat service response calls by the city police department which prevent police officers from supplying services to other residents of the city. It is the intent of the city by the adoption of this ordinance to impose and collect service call fees from the owner or occupant, or both, of property to which police officers must repeatedly respond which generates extraordinary costs to the city, this article authorizes the imposition of charges to recover costs incurred by the city in responding to such incidents.
