§ 106-445. Manual meter reading fee.

The city utilizes an Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI). AMI includes a radio based electronic meter reading system. Compliance is mandatory for all city provided water services. Non-AMI compliant meters require the meter to be manually read, creating additional costs associated with manual meter reads.

On all bills rendered on or after March 1, 2016, a monthly manual meter reading fee will be charged to all non-AMI compliant meters. The fee will be adjusted on August 1, 2016, and on January 1, 2017, and annually thereafter to reflect the actual costs to the city for manual meter reading.

(2)

The meter reading fee required under this section shall be the fee on file with the city clerk, which has been approved and filed by the city manager and which the city commission has been notified of for at least 30 days in compliance with section 2-1.
