§ 4.1. Mayor.

The mayor shall be the chief executive officer of the city and shall preside at all meetings of the commission. The mayor shall sign all ordinances or resolutions passed by the commission and shall sign all documents, contracts and other instruments requiring the assent of the city. The mayor shall perform the duties specified by the commission, this charter, ordinance or resolution. The mayor shall have no administrative duties, but shall be recognized as the head of the city government for all ceremonial purposes and by the governor for purposes of military law.
