§ 94-126. Rules and regulations—Promulgation.

(a)

The city manager, in conjunction with the director of Bay City Electric Light & Power, is authorized to make such rules and regulations pertaining to city and utility right-of-way vegetation management as are necessary to protect public property, utility rights-of-way and the safety, health, morals, public welfare, peace and/or quiet and order of the neighborhood, and no person shall fail to comply with such rules or regulations.

(b)

The rules and regulations as set forth by the city manager pursuant to subsection (a) of this article shall be effective 30 days after the city commission receives notice of the city manager's recommended rules and regulations, unless such rules and regulations are rejected by the city commission, or unless such rules and regulations are altered or amended by the city commission and in such case they shall become immediately effective.
