§ 94-72. Requirements for door or cover for openings.

It shall be unlawful for any person to maintain, use or operate any existing sidewalk opening, unless the door or cover for such opening is of metal or reinforced concrete with a nonslipping wearing surface, approved by the city engineer. Such doors and their hinges shall be so constructed that their surfaces shall lie flat with the surface of the sidewalk upon which they are constructed, and shall present no obstruction to traffic.
