§ 58-72. Prohibition on the use of fireworks.

  • (a)

    No person shall ignite, discharge or use any fireworks within the city in violation of Act 256 of the Public Acts of 2011, as amended, being MCL 28.451, et seq.

    (b)

    No person shall ignite, discharge or use any consumer fireworks within the city, except this prohibition shall not preclude a person from igniting, discharging or using consumer fireworks on the day preceding, the day of, or the day after a national holiday, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 1 a.m., consistent with Sec. 7 (2) of Act 256 of the Public Acts of 2011, MCL 28.457(2).
