§ 52-9. Disaster contingency fund.

  • A disaster contingency fund is hereby created in the budget of not less than $1,000.00. Money may be expended from the fund for the purpose of paying the disaster relief force, purchase of supplies and services, repair costs or other needs required specifically for the mitigation of the effects of, or in response to, the emergency or disaster upon the declaration by the mayor that a local state of emergency exists. The amount appropriated to the disaster contingency fund shall hereafter be the amount set forth in the annual budget adopted by the city commission.
