§ 30-299. Revocation of license or denial of license renewal.

  • The city clerk shall revoke or refuse to approve issuance or renewal of a massage establishment license for one or more of the following reasons:

    (1)

    The applicant makes a false statement as to a material matter made in an application for a license or license renewal.

    (2)

    Revocation or non-renewal of the applicant's state license to practice massage therapy or other type of massage.

    (3)

    Revocation of the license of the applicant or a member of the applicant's business organization within the three years preceding the filing of an application.

    (4)

    The applicant or a member of the applicant's business organization or licensee under this article has, within the past ten years, been convicted of a crime involving moral turpitude, sale or use of drugs or conviction of any felony.

    (5)

    The licensee under this article is found guilty or responsible for a violation of fire code, zoning code, building code, health code, city ordinance or state law.
