§ 30-1. Definitions.

The following words, terms and phrases, when used in this chapter, shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, except where the context clearly indicates a different meaning:

Activity means any trade, profession, business, occupation, privilege or other activity for which a license is required by the city.

Conduct includes maintenance, operation or other carrying on of an activity, and includes the holding out or advertisement that a person is or will engage in such activity, or the solicitation of patronage therefor, actively or passively. "Conduct" also includes the performance or attempt at performance of any portion of any activity within the city, either in person or by an agent, employee, or partner.

License includes permits.
