§ 2-35. Forfeiture of office.

  • Any officer or employee convicted of a violation of this division shall, immediately upon said conviction, forfeit their office or employment. In the event any employee is covered by a collective bargaining agreement, the city shall seek the maximum punishment for the prohibited conduct.

    In the event an individual or entity who provides goods or services to the city, whether by contract or otherwise, is convicted of a violation of this division, the contract or other agreement concerning or relating to the provision of goods or services to the city shall be immediately void, relieving the city from all further obligations thereunder. In addition to voiding the contract or agreement, the city commission may impose other prohibitions or restrictions in doing future business with any individual or entity convicted of violating the provisions of this division.
