§ 26-581. Purpose.

The purpose of this article is to preserve Bay City neighborhoods and that in order to do so it has been found that certain actions in regards to vacant and unsecured buildings and structures must be taken due to the problems that these structures present for firefighters, hazards that may be created for citizens, health and safety risks that may occur in the community, and the contribution to declining property values and degradation of public health and safety that such buildings and structures pose for the city and its residents.
