§ 26-414. Permits.

  • (a)

    Required. No person shall initially erect, construct, enlarge, alter, repair or improve any private swimming pool without first obtaining a permit therefor in accordance with the procedures as provided for permits in the building code. The permit fee shall be determined in accordance with the schedule of fees as adopted in the building code, and shall accompany the application filed with the building department.

    (b)

    Health department approval. No construction permit shall be issued by the building department until the plans and specifications for the proposed pool have been approved by the health department.

    (c)

    Final inspection. Before any private swimming pool is used, it must receive the final inspection approval of the building department and the health department shall certify that the pool meets its requirements.
