§ 10-5. Consumption of alcohol in public place.

  • No person shall sell, consume, or possess in a container which is open, uncapped or upon which the seal is broken, alcoholic beverages in:

    (1)

    The public streets, alleys, sidewalks or city parking lots.

    (2)

    A private parking lot adjacent to a commercial establishment which can be utilized by patrons of the commercial establishment. This subsection shall not apply to any area licensed by the state liquor control commission for the sale or consumption of alcoholic beverages.
